Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 26, 2026

DevDecoder operates the website at https://devdecoder.net/. This page explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights with respect to it.

1. Information Not Collected

All encoding, decoding, hashing, JWT decoding, JSON formatting, and regex testing operations run entirely within your web browser. No input text, results, or tool usage data is ever transmitted to DevDecoder or any third party. DevDecoder does not operate a backend, database, or any server-side processing of your data.

2. Local Storage

A single value is stored in your browser's localStorage — your light/dark theme preference ("theme": "light" or "theme": "dark"). This value never leaves your device and is only used to restore your preferred color scheme on return visits. It can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

3. Advertising (Google AdSense)

DevDecoder displays ads served by Google AdSense. As a third-party vendor, Google may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You may also opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For more information on how Google collects and uses data, see Google's Privacy & Terms.

4. Log Data

DevDecoder is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, date and time of request) as part of its infrastructure service. This data is processed by Cloudflare in accordance with the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. DevDecoder does not access or store these logs independently.

5. Cookies

DevDecoder does not set any cookies. Google AdSense may set cookies on your device to serve relevant advertisements. Cookies can be controlled or disabled through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the display of ads but will not affect the functionality of the developer tools.

6. Links to Other Sites

This site may contain links to external websites. DevDecoder is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourages you to review their privacy policies.

7. Changes to This Policy
